Hi there!
This is a blog which welcomes discussion about and around globalization and the media. We welcome comments, questions, ideas in the format of words, images and sound. You can post videos, audio files onto the blog.
We have been exposed to media globalization for a long time -- Hollywood films, American, Japanese, Korean or Taiwanese TV programmes, Popular music from all around the world. The intensification of media flows around the world has somewhat broken national and cultural boundaries. But do these media products carry cultural content to have been shaping our views on these different cultures? Or are we in a global village where we share the same culture? Or, does this explain some form of domination as a result of imbalanced media circulation? As our lives are very much shaped by the media we are exposed to, how has the intensified media circulation and advanced mobile media shaped our daily lives, and our perception of ourselves?
